Ing. Emmanuel Antwi-Darkwa

Ing. Emmanuel Antwi-Darkwa is a Civil Engineer by profession. He commenced his engineering carrier with the Volta River Authority (VRA) in 1985 and served in various capacities until the year 2002 when he took up appointment (secondment) at the Ministry of Energy as Director of power until 2009. Three years later, he resigned from the services of the Authority and went into private engineering consultancy until his appointment as Chief Executive in 2017.

With over thirty (30) years of impressive experience in the energy sector, Mr. Antwi-Darkwa has gained detailed knowledge in functional and infrastructural developments, regulatory influences in Ghana’s energy sector and the dynamics of international power system development. He possesses tremendous expertise in strategic planning, policy formulation and evaluation, contract negotiations as well as the management of several multi-disciplinary power projects.

Mr. Antwi-Darkwa holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Oil & Gas Management, University of Dundee, UK. He also holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University, USA and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana.
